Medical, railway, education feature in talks between President Sirisena and Indonesia President

Speaking at the bilateral discussions held President Maithripala Sirisena, yesterday, Wednesday, January 24, Indonesian President Joko Widodo said they are ready to provide the necessary technological assistance to Sri Lanka in the production of medical equipment, development of the railway system and promotion of the education sector.

The Indonesian President said, information is being gathered on whether a train production plant could be established within Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, President Maithripala Sirisena also made a request from President Widodo to encourage Indonesian investors to invest in Sri Lanka.

The two leaders then directed their attention towards signing a free trade agreement between the two countries as well as entering into several bilateral agreements.
