Fairly strong winds at times (up to 50kmph) can be expected over the island (Especially in the western slope of the central hills) and strong winds at times in the surrounding sea areas (up to 60-70 kmph).

Showery weather condition is expected to continue over south-western part of the island.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-western provinces. Heavy falls (more than 100 mm) can be expected at some places.

Showers or thundershowers are likely occur atseveral places in the Eastern & Uva provinces after 2.00p.m

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity
