SLRC gets CSN OB bus on a court order
Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) becomes the beneficiary of 40 feet Outside Broad (OB) Casting bus owned by Carlton Sports Network (CSN) Television channel on a Court Order Thursday.
Kaduwela Magistrate Court ordered to hand over OB Bus belonging to CSN TV channel to SLRC temporarily.
It has most modern TV cameras and necessary technical equipment for outside broadcasting, Kaduwela Magistrate Court registrar’s office said.
The order was issued following a request made by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).
The magistrate ordered that the bus should be used and maintained by the SLRC until further notice.
The outside broadcasting bus of CSN which is now in custody of the Police FCID is to be handed over to SLRC today (26).
The Bus was produced before the Court as a court production by sleuths of the FCID as part of their investigations into CSN money laundering case.
The seizure of the vehicle was made in accordance FCID investigations. It was brought down to Sri Lanka from a company called Arina in England and the ES Broadcasting company.
According to documents submitted by the CSN company to the Sri Lanka Customs, the price of the bus was Pounds Sterling 23,000 while the equiment amounts to US$ 3,200.
